Basic Beginner help

I've just taken over 8 web sites. The previous webmaster is not giving me any help with the MYSQL database which holds all the members data.

Ive downloaded FSECURE and I have managed to get hold of the log in passwords for all the sites. All I want to do is see the list of members for each site. HOW DO I GET THE LIST TO APPEAR???

I've tried DIR, but that gives me nothing.

PLEASE HELP before I lose my job!!

Probably a good place to start then would be

to get an idea of what you have to do.
Do you know the password for the root user of mysql ? if not you could have more than just a few problems. ______________________________________________________________________

I've managed to log in and typed mysql and I have been accepted into the mysql monitor. All I want to do is get the list of members.

if you want the list of users allowed to log in to mysql server, change to the mysql database (use mysql and then
select "SELECT User FROM user;"

there is an easy way to change the forgotten root password for mysql, all you need is vi editor and access to the data dir
