I've just taken over 8 web sites. The previous webmaster is not giving me any help with the MYSQL database which holds all the members data.

Ive downloaded FSECURE and I have managed to get hold of the log in passwords for all the sites. All I want to do is see the list of members for each site. HOW DO I GET THE LIST TO APPEAR???

I've tried DIR, but that gives me nothing.

PLEASE HELP before I lose my job!!

Probably a good place to start then would be
to get an idea of what you have to do.
Do you know the password for the root user of mysql ? if not you could have more than just a few problems. ______________________________________________________________________

I've managed to log in and typed mysql and I have been accepted into the mysql monitor. All I want to do is get the list of members.

if you want the list of users allowed to log in to mysql server, change to the mysql database (use mysql;) and then
select "SELECT User FROM user;"

2 KarveR:
there is an easy way to change the forgotten root password for mysql, all you need is vi editor and access to the data dir :)

I know Piti, but people have different systems and capabilities, never assume knowledge or things can go badly worng. :) ______________________________________________________________________
