Does anyone know how to "turn off" a banner page when printing from a Win2KPro Client to a Shared network printer running off of a Novell Server? I am using the Microsoft Client for Novell" and I can find info on how to change the banner page but not on how to get rid of it all together.

Hi Cbarrol,

With most banner pages you'll have to go directly to the printer properties and look for the banner page settings since your applications rarely have the option available. You can turn them off by unchecking the "Banner page" check box. Do the same with the "Notify" if you don't want to get a message each time your print job completes. Although this is supposed to be dynamic, you may find it necessary to reboot afterwards before the settings take affect. Let me know if it worked for you.

Thanks for the tip. I know this sounds strange, but... I cant seem to find anywhere in my printer properties to turn the banner off. The only thing I can find is a place to select which banner I want to use. I have done this before on Win98 clients using the same printer but a different (Novell) client. The Novell client has the banner checkbox right in the client properties but the Microsoft Client for Netware does not. Looks like it may be one more incompatability between MS and Novell. Oh Well, thanks for replying anyway!

Use the Novell client much more stable.

Ash.
