My client has this:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, IIS5 and corresponding WMS (included with Windows 2000).
- a 10Mbps pipe, but it narrows down to 1.5Mbps internally
They would like to do this:
- configure the streaming so that is would not take more than 0.5-1MB of bandwidth regardless of the number of users online
- instead of using more bandwidth, quality should deteriorate with growing number of users online
- 110 employees who are going to view this stream over VPN. Those 110 users may be staged into 3 waves if needed.
Is this possible with the setup they have? I refer particularly to the throttling down with increased users thing.
Can you offer advice on how to go about it?
