bandwidth problem

Almost every day I see very high bandwidth on my inside interface and on my pix 515e firewall and stops internet activity to a grinding halt. I do suspect a virus of some sort but I cannot trace it back to the source. Is there something I can look at at the pix to try to find the source of the problem?
