Hi all:

I recently had to fdisk/format my pc. Previously it had W2000 installed, and I was able to perfectly listen to all my music, been that on CD, MP3, or any other format.

After the complete re-install, I wasn't able to listen to my music as before. The song plays about 1 second and stops, then another second, and stops, and so on. So it seems like the player (either, windows media player, or Music Match, or the default media player in w2000). The only player I'm able to use correctly is the CD Player that comes by default in 2000.

Any ideas of what might be going on? In the previous installation of w2000 in this machine I did not download new drivers or patches for the sound card. Any ideas of what might be happening?

Thanks,

Rianeiro

Did you try the latest versions of the media players?

Thanks ski:

I half of resolved the problem. I uninstalled all uninstalable items in the Sound, video and games devices, rebooted and it worked ok. However, after some normal shut downs, I found the same problem again. Did the same procedure and it worked again. I don'r really know how long this circle is going to be, and hope this was the last one.

Regards and thanks
