Newbie!
I have 4 servers: Oracle1, Oracle2, FileSystem1 & Filesystem2. Password change time came around and I changed the root passwords on all servers. The result of this was:
Oracle1: File system backup OK Database backup failed
Oracle2: File system and Database backup OK
Filesystem1: File system backup OK
Filesystem2: File system backup failed
Where failures happened there was a "E9103 Incorrect password for root" error in the job log.
When I go into Job Monitor, click Modify Job for the next scheduled job I have to supply the new root password for the failed servers. If I select a host and check the Security tab the User Name field is blank.
So: If the root password changed on all servers, why did some fail and some succeed?
If those that succeeded weren't using root as the login then how come the root filesystem backed up OK and how do I find out which account was used to connect?
Why did the filesystem on Oracle1 back up OK but not the database?
Other info: Oracle1 is also the backup server.
All hosts are Solaris 9 and BrightStor is 10.5 build 1226
TIA!
