I want to do a HFA update on the Checkpoint FWs. But I also want to do a backup in case of problems so that I can roll back to it.

I have SecurePlatform and Windows Managements.

How do I do this?

Thanks

Hi,

The easiest thing to do with Secureplatform is to do
a "cpsnapshot". That will backup "everything" on your
Secureplatform box. In worse case scenario you have to
restore the box, just rebuild the splatform box with the
checkpoint version as before the HFA and perform the
"restore" and you will be back to where you were before
applying the HFA.

That being said, normally the HFA comes with a script that
you can uninstall the HFA in case you have problem.

HTH.
