I have Arcserve 9.0 installed on a Windows 2000 Server.

There was 7Gb of files called AStpsdat.001/002 etc in the Arcserve folder. I was running out of space on my drive, so I deleted them.

No, my nightly backup job wont start. When I try to modify the job to give it todays date and time, it never sves my changes and the status of the job is 'Hold'

There is no Media in either the Save or scratch set.

How can I resolve?

Thanks

When I select 'Restore by Tree' or 'Restore by session' - It wont allow me go any further.

My Media Pool is empty and when I try and create a new one, it says 'Media pool already exists'

Any ideas??

Thanks

Hi,

Deleting the database is not the correct way to reduce the size of the DB.

You should initialize the astpsdat file from the ARCserve server admin.

If you have a FULL backup of the backup server, you might wanna try a "recover DB". Please read thru the arcserve admin guide on how to perform this operation..

So it Shall be Written!
So it Shall be Done!!
