Hi - Anyone know of the best way to automate Backing to a remote ( maybe FTP ) server. Dont really want to create a VPN for it so FTP was a good answer..

Any ideas ?

Best,

Chris

There's no encryption on FTP. Even your login credentials are sent in plain text. I strongly urge you to create the vpn...

Well you would have to create a backup to disk folder and this would only work thry VPN since the Backup Exec has to authinicate as the service account.

Basically you need a direct connection to you remote site.

CPS may be a better solution, but again it cant got thru NAT firewall and you need to be on the other network just as if it were local/vpn.
