you cannot back up the entire harddrive to the CDrom, thats for sure, but it might be possible to use some compression utility to span the harddrive over several CDrom using some professional backup tool, perhaps creating an image, and compressing it of your harddrive, then spliting it between CDs, unless you have a Tape drive, or another harddrive to mirror upon, this would take a while, and if you mess up one CD chances are you might have to start over, also if you dont have enough free space on the harddrive to even create each CD, My recomendation is to take what you need, zip it up(or whatever method of compression you prefer) And stick it on CDs that way, of course organization is always a good thing to keep in mind., one costly option would be to buy a DVD-Ram (same concept as CDrw, only a DVD-ram can burn at the minimum 5Gigs on a single CD/Cartridge).

Good Luck, further questions about anything I've mentioned dont hesitate to ask.
Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
