What brand backup tape drive would you linux gurus recommend? I am currently using rsync to run backups of my file server and i need to store the diff files on a tape drive. Which tape drive would run well with redhat 9? Any particular brand in mind? Please let me know.

Thanks,

All the big brands work well: Sony, HP, Quantum, etc.

Most value for money is the DAT DDS4 drives (with the DDS5 coming right after)

Cheers
