Hello,

We just implemented a two node active/passive Exchange 2003 Cluster. Soon, we'll be moving mailboxes off of our 5.5 server. We have Veritas Backup Exec version 10 in house. Has anyone set up a backup solution with BackUp Exec 10 on a cluster? What about in conjunction with Windows Volume Shadow Services (VSS).

I'm looking for recommendations on a backup design. The cluster is going to a backend EMC Claarion SAN.

Thanks

Don't know about Backup Exec, but we use Veritas Netbackup.

Basically:
1.Backup local drives using node host names
2.Backup shared storage drives using cluster name
3.Backup mail storage groups using virtual exchange server name

Works well.
