I am documenting some disaster recovery procedures, and was wondering if it is possible to backup my virtual directory settings (for an IIS 5.0 website) so that they can be restored onto another machine? I have many virtual directories setup and want to avoid having to create them on the new machine one at a time. Is the virtual directory information stored in the registry somewhere?

I've read about the metabase backup/restore utility, but this only works if you restore to the same machine, which in my case will not be possible.

Search for Backup/Restore in IIS. It's quite useful and backs up all your settings
