I have a 7.0 MICS. If the software turned out to be flaky and I wanted to replace it with 6.1, could I restore the programming with the BRU tool if I used the same NVRAM?

well, you can downgrade but you would lose all programming and have to reprogram like it was a brand new install.

If you have a 6.0 backup you can do this. Just dont change any hardware during this process.
You can downgrade the software by crashing it. First I would backup the current 7.0 before you start. Then restart the system, when the system comes up do a **startup. While its is doing a startup pull out the NVRAM and pcmcia card out. Power down the KSU and replace the pcmcia card 7.0 with the 6.0. It will come up with a defaulted 6.0 MICS. Then use NRU to restore your 6.0 backup.
