I two servers windows 2000 server on my network(server1 and server2) I need every day(after job) to copy my folders from server1 to server2, in the case crash my server1 I have all my files on the server2.
Does anyone know any free software that I can make this automatically?
I don´t want to use the program backup (windows 2000 server)

Thanks
Elias

You can create a batch file that makes use of the ROBOCOPY resource kit tool, which can "mirror" the files on each server. You can then schedule the job to run nightly. We have done this in the past during new file server migrations

Where can I get this program ROBOCOP, how can I find it in my installation CD Windows 2000 Server?

It's not on the Windows 2000 CD. It's on the resource kit for Windows 2000 which should be able to be downloaded from MS website.

I prefer NTBackup as this can also backup your system state so you can actually restore Windows. What's your concern about NTBackup... perhaps you aren't fully aware of it's capabilities, especially via scripting?

I read on Manual :"By default Robocopy will only copy a file if the source and destination have different time stamps or different file sizes."
What is the parameter for me to copy all files?

other choices are out there...
All the best!
