Backup Exec Ver 8.6...Problems With Alerts 1

I got a client using an ADR50 Internal backup unit with 15/30 ADR Tapes. The current backup job has about 10.5GB of data to be backed up.

The problem lies where at 99% completion of the backup, I must manually log in and "Respond OK" to the alert message which says stuff along the lines of "the tape will be ejected" or "please insert another backup media". If I don't respond to the alert, the backup will not complete "successfully" in the log. If I change the option to have alerts go into the alert tab or have them pop-up, it does not change the fact that I have to manually respond to it for the job to backup.

Is this a bug or is there a workaround?

tells you how to configure Backup Exec to automatically respond to media alerts, including when a backup hangs at 99% until the user responds to a tape eject prompt.
