Backup Exec upgrade from version 7.x to 9.1

I have Backup Exec 7.x installations and I need to upgrade them to version 9.1. I have upgrade license keys available. But in the upgrade installation note of version 9.1, it is written that it can be upgraded from 8.x. Please how can I upgrade from my version 7.x to 9.1.

Do I need to upgrade to another version first before I upgrade to 9.1 or is it still possible to upgrade to 9.1.

You need to upgrade to 8.6 first, then 9.1.

You can also ask Veritas for a Full 9.1 Key. You can send them the org. 7.x and the 9.x upgrade key. I think it's sometimes better to start with a full new install...
