Backup Exec 9.1 error: Physical Volume Library Robot not found

Hi all

Have got a problem at the moment. My server was rebooted yesterday since then backup Exec is no longer responding to any tapes being inserted. Initially the drive was appearing offline, i have now got it back online but if i try and import , export or run an inventory it comes back with an error saying :

Inventory Library 0060 -- The job failed with the following error: Physical Volume Library Robot not found.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Check you application and system log. When you rebooted the library was not detected by the OS or there were some problem and now backup exec cant communicate with the library. Power down "completely off" the server and library and power back up.

Power the library up first, and make sure it has finished any self tests before powering on the server.
