backup encryption while writting to tape

Is anyone using an encryption solution or could recommend one to be used with Legato Networker 7.1.x ? I know that you can use xlateasm, but it can be easily de-crypted.

Our goal is to encrypt our data while it is written to tape. This would prevent someone from recovering data from any of our tapes, in the event they were stolen or lost.

I would use hardware solutions. Some vendors are Decru, Neoscale, or Digital Information Systems. Please see their web sites.

I doubt whether the encryption in Legato Networker is work. Is there any one with successful experience?
