Backup Announcement board 1

Have question on how to define Netcon so I can backup my announcement board. Have switch off site that I am trying to backup the announcement board but receive msg "required NETCON data module not administered or out-of-service. Do I have to create 4 netcon data extensions and a hunt group or what. Any help would be great

That's right.
You have to create 4 netcon data module's, put them in a huntgroup with an extension in your dial range.
You can only connect to this number via a data module.

Are you talking about a TN799 or a VAL announcement board?

To backup a VAL announcement board you'll need an IP connection and the VAL-manager software.

When you want to backup a normal announcement board you can also connect via the INADS port and type "save announcements board xxx
This wil take about 40 minutes.

You do need an data mod for you specific board. The list below is an example.

Data Extension: 8881(pick the Ext)Name: Announcement Board
Type: announcement COS: 1
Board: 01A07(board location) COR: 1
ITC: restricted TN: 1
