I need to backup a PDS to a GDG without using TSO Copy as TSO copy fails if the PDS is open in the edit mode.

Shouldn't you be using ADRDSSU then, or do you have to do it against a TSO session? Hmmm, I wonder if you can create a GDG and use ADRDSSU via TSO ALLOC / CALL...
