Hi,
How do I backup the NICE Screen Logger and/or whats the best way to do it?

Thanks...

This is a Nice Focus III 8.x

I don't know if I should just back up the whole PC since its using Win XP.

is this for resillency or are you rebuilding it cause it has crashed

Customer wants a backup for disaster recovery.

Actually I correct myself. This is installed on a Win 2003 server.

I would do an image of the Hardrive. Ask if it is important to recover the recordings of screen. If the customer wants to recover all the screen recordings you need to shedule a backup of the data files.

there are no data files. a screen logger creates a database between 100-200gb and each file is a 1 gb in size. screen logger uses key tokens for screen file. an image is good for OS but it will never have an up to date screen database. also without the cls ticket it is not possible to play screen recordings back.

I actually got some info from Avaya and they basically resume everything that Screen Logger is meant for quality and not for backup. I think they mentioned that the customer would need a storage center and Perform.

that is correct with your current setup archiving of screen data is not available. with perfrom 3.1 the latest relaese this feature is available
