Backing up machines in the DMZ 1

Hi all,

I need to backup a server that is in the DMZ of my network. Im running Backup Exec 9.1 and im not to sure how i can backup this server. I cannot seem to send out an agent as it cannot see the machine under the domain, nor can i seem to manually add either. The machine is in its own work group.

I have however set up a job via its IP address.

Should i consider installing the agent onto the the server by disc?

You have to install the remote agent manually

You have to create a User Defined selection by IP or ServerName if you can resolve the servername in the dmz

On your router you will have to create a "pinhole" between the DMZ and the secure network.
