Backing UP Exchange 2K

You do not back up M:\. It is just Exchanges replica of C:\. If you back up all of C:\ then you will be fine.

If you have an Exchange Aware backup you backup the First Storage Group which consists of the Private and Public information stores. You don't need to back the M drive. You can also backup indvidual mailboxes if you choose.
