Backing up configs and IOS

For IOS, just keep them backup up on a seperate server, for the configs however, RANCID is a very popular tool in an enterprise/telco environment.
If you have a thousand routers to regularly take a config backup i.e. daily, you'll be there forever and a day doing it manually
