We have an Intuity Map40 Version 5. The back-up media comes on ZIP's. When trying to back the Intuity up, the ZIP cartridge kicks out. Is this normal? When I look at the back-up log file, it seems to back up every AM @3:ish. But I'm curious where its backing up to if theres no media in the drive? Basically I want to recycle the box to clear some errors, but wanted to back it up first. Or is it Ok to drop the box w/o backing up? (I wouldn't think so, but...)

Any ideas?? Or does this one go to Avaya (hardware failure)?

Thanks for any and all input...

Hi,

This is actually a Jaz drive - there is a known problem with these drives and a QPPCN has been issued by Avya - basically, Avaya will swap it out for a Fujitsu MO as long as your have a current service contract.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Ooops... sorry about that. You're right, I don't know why I was saying ZIP. Late night I guess. I did find the QPPCN on the replacement and have scheduled Avaya to come out and replace. Thanks for your information Armo2-
