Background Pattern in Dynamic Textbox (Use of FillPattern)

The PTB's in their wisdom have disallowed the use of a logo on our reports. What we can do is have a dynamic text box with a dept title. I want to use a background via AcDrawingFillPattern and DrawingFillPatternName. I have tried set FillPattern, to no avail. Anyone any idea on whether this is possible, and how?
