Hi folks,

Relatively new to InDesign but I'm having issues changing the background color of my pages to black. I must be doing something wrong. I am currently drawing out a rectangle and filling it with black and shoving it to the bottom of the doc. But when I do this, everytime I try to drag out a new rectangle a am unable to see it as it is hidden below the black one. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

If you are working with any color for a background, it is best to create the background color frame on a master page on a bottom layer.

This allows you to add content on top of a regular page without accidentally affecting the background.
