Right then, in need of some expert advice.

What, in your opinion, is the best and most user friendly back up software available for Windows XP. I want the software to be able to back up directly to CD-RW's. I have looked through a few of them, but most seem to have a few bugs. The back up software that comes with XP does not compress the files, which is a nessicity. Also the fact that the software if FREE is essential

Please can you let me know your opinions

Thanks again in advance....... ________________________________________

I use Veritas Software for backing up over 50 clients. Currently I am currently using NetBack Up Professional and it works great. The users screens ,for restoring and browsing, are user friendly and the flexibility of the reporting system is descent. Also it sets up for remote users very well by allowing server backup via VPN connections. Hope this helps.

i'm using retrospect 5.6 express from i haven't encountered any bugs, it's easy to use and is extensively documented. unfortunately it isn't free. you can try it free for 30 days and the license for the express version is only 50 bucks. small price to pay for something as important as reliable backup software. good luck UKA.

Will give that Retrospect software a whirl and see how it performs. thanks again ________________________________________
