Hi

I have Windows 2000 Professional. When I try to back up to my CD burner (using formatted CDs), I get the message "W:is not a valid drive, or you do not have access." What is this and what can I do about it?

If I can't do anything, can you name a software program for backing up? I don't need anything heavy duty, I don't have a lot of data to back up but enough that I don't want to crash without back up. Note that I am not on a server or network, just a single PC but couldn't find a forum for just Windows 2000.

Thanks.

If your goign to back-up your data and wan't to do it easy street, then you have to get nero (which i trust you allready have) If you selectd the right recorder it's shoudn't give any problems (you can chosse the recorder in one of the option screens) When you just drag and dump it into the cd compílation then you can easilly back-up it all. If this still doens't work and he still gives problem with the recorder, then look for an updated driver or a flash. Reinstalll the drive and then it shoud be all ok [bigcheeks]

If you have tried everything you coud....... then there is nothing more !!
