tlpeter,

I downgraded the 4621 back to 2_3 (or whatever the default version on IPO 4.0.10.) Visual Voice still locks up the phone...

I am able to get as far as the "Listen", "Message", "Greeting" etc. screen, but if I select any of those options the next screen it totally blank and the phone is unresponsive. I need to yank the cable.

then first solve the visual voice problem
if that is fixed then you can try again

i don't know how to help you with the visual voice

call it in to Avaya. may be this is something they know about, but we havent figured out yet. let me put visual voice on my 4621 here and see what happens. i will let you know shortly.

I just tested this. I went from 2_3 to 2_7 and 2_8. The backlight worked however it wouldn't connect to the IPO.

So, I tested DavidCT's problem and VisualVoice worked fine for me. Even after upgrading and downgrading.

Is it a hardware version level issue? He upgrades to 2_8 and the light works, mine doesn't. He downgrades and VisualVoice stops working, mine does. Very bewildering.
