I'm compiling a small site. The Index page uses frames. The "Main" frame includes a thumbnail. Clicking on the thumbnail loads the full size graphic into the "Main" frame. I can href back, but would like to use my own button and onClick javascript. I have my button set up and that loads up fine. All the permutations and combinations I've tried, using return/history/location/+++ merely refresh the full size graphic and don't go back ... although Explorer's Back Button greys out. (I have tried using type="button" value="Back" in case the problem was with using my image, but that doesn't make my efforts work either.)

I've run out of ideas as to what I must be doing wrong ... please could someone rescue me and spell out what I should be entering in the script and in the body.

With thanks ...

LRH

P.S. I haven't included an example of my efforts... I don't know which one/s would be the best or the worst!!! LOL

try onClick="window.location='javascript:history.go(-1)';" -Greg :-Q

Many thanks for your speedy reply, Greg. I've tried it out and am now getting this fleeting error message before IExplore disappears ...

"Iexplore has generated erros and will be closed by windows"

With apologies if I'm seeming very thick (actually I am! LOL), but after a whole aftermoon trying to come up with the solution I'm more than usually brain dead ... please can I ask a bit more help and advice. What should I be putting in the script to go with this and how should I be writing it into the body?

Thanks again ...

LRH

it should be <img src="pic.gif" onClick="window.location='javascript:history.go(-1)';"> also you may need to restart your computer...you know what happens when you let a microsoft product run too long -Greg :-Q

Thanks again, Greg. I've got it now ... didn't even have to reboot. I hadn't realised it was that simple and was trying to make it much more complicated! s-)
