Gudday,

I currently have an issue after upgrading my Arcserve2000 install to BAB11 and associated agents. I currently use this server to backup my AD/2000 environment and Netware environment. It worked perfectly before the upgrade.

Netware servers are 5.1 SP7 with Edir8.7.3. All windows server are 2000 with SP4. Problem is when I try to back up the NW servers after applying the new agent (which is version 9.01 not V11)I try to run a job and I get the errors E3123, E3122, E3124. All related to the logging into the TSA agent. I have tried the distinguished names, and the user definitely has rights as it was working before. The weird problem is that sometimes it works and it is really dam fast!!! But I cannot, through all the testing and troubleshooting, find any consistency. All I have proven is that the V7 agents work perfectly but not as fast. I also get disconnects from the agent which shut down the manager when I try to adjust the source priority of the NetWare boxes. Strange.....?

I am going to log a call with CA, but thought someone out there may have seen this.

Cheers, FB

I would suggest you:
1. apply QO45869 --> QO51595
2. update TSA from NW web site TSA5UPxx
3. reconfigure SMDR

Sorry, Should have mentioned that after I worked out that the Agent was infact version 9.01 that I applied all the 9.01 pathces, but there is no TSA updates after SP7!. After doing that I did then configure SMDR (3 times) and still no solution.

To me it seems like a bug, with the manager shutting down and everything. I have seen this type of issue before with CA and thier cross platform interaction.

Thanks for the input though. Lets see what the CA techs have to say!
