BAB 11.1 win with nas option and Procom 800

Hi,
I have Brightstore arcserve 11.1 for windows, i have installed nas option backup data form a nas procom 800 to a Plasmon library attached to the nas.
Arcserve correctly configure the library via NDMP protocol, but i have some problems to backup data because every time Arcserve log say me that "there isn't enough space to create checkpoint"!
So I'd want to ask :
1 - for every job a checkpoint is created?
2 - has anyone else this configuration and has this problem?
3 - can I avoid to create checkpoint? can I backup data on-line without checkpoint?

From the Manual:

A snapshot or a checkpoint is an online, read-only copy of an entire file system that protects against deletions or modifications of files without duplicating file contents. Snapshots enable you to restore files and allow you back up the files to tape while the NAS server is in use. Snapshots of data on a file system can also be created and scheduled, as needed, by the NAS administrator.

and

If you are backing up a snapshot or checkpoint, make sure the server is configured to create these files.

there is also a real nice chart on page F-4 that shows the options. this chart shows that the checkpoint backup is just one of the types of backups.

So a checkpoint is only created when a checkpiont backup is done, and no you don't have to run a checkpoint backup.
