Hi,

every time Quicktime is used, it writes itself into the Windows (XP) registry to autostart itself next time. Is there any chance to avoid this stupid behavior???

Autostart?
On reboot of your computer?
Not following, but under Edit > Preferences > Quicktime Settings > you can uncheck the "system icon" so ti doesn't appear there (which is part of your start-up sequence when you reboot/turn on your computer)
