Gentleman's

I need Advice as am in trouble with one of client.
They was using Ericsson MD110 with console sets, now we move them to IPO 9.1
Is any of avaya system can do the below like CM or Aura.
In Ericsson they were using feature Like 3 way calling over trunk lines and 1 person is only listening other cant hear him and also operator can talk to the listener separatly.
Example
A -Boss Extension or on Mobile phone (on extension its do able by dial inclusion ) but cant do it over his mobile or when he is out.
B-Operator
C-Caller Extension or Mobile

A call to B and ask him to call C and ask him question and i need to listen to it.
now B and C is talking and A is listening ,
move on now B need to speak to A to get his replay.

Kindly gave me suggestion if IPO can do it then how or recommendation for any other AVAYA system which able to perform such function.

Thanks

So A wants to Ask C a question but instead of just doing it they ask B the question and get them to ask C, then want B to tell them the answer on the same call?!

Why!

He already knows the answer..... as he was listening, what a stupid scenario :-)

sure he A Listening But B need to ask him what should he replay to C because C don't know that A is listening.
So B need to ask A what should i ask him more and if A ask B let me talk to him so B can join them together.

That's just a 3 way conference and using the handset menu to mute selected callers, can all be controlled on B's phone... only way really :-)

ok i understand but how can B go back to A without disconnecting the call because A is still in conference.and keep in Mind the A is on mobile or out of office .

I was thinking of muting the audio from the caller anyway not vice versa, so ignore that suggestion.
You can't really do this without B having 2 calls, one to A and one to C and also user A listening to B and C's call, not even sure that will work ...but it's the only way really :-)

am sorry i just did not understand this

Whisper page after the call has commenced.
Use request coach and whisper coach.

this time you gave me a mountain

Whisper coach will not mute the conversation to the boss from the customers perspective, so the customer would hear one side of the conversation between the Agent and the boss :-)

so the Question here If IPO cant do it then how about AVAYA CM.
Appreciate the Advice

Test what I said:

A calls B, B then presses a spare appearance key and calls C, A does a "call listen" to hear the call between B and C. B can then toggle between calls :-)

This scenario is ok is A is on same system's extension

but A is on his mobile phone. so he cant perform any action.

good one but please understand the A will not do any thing every has to be done by B (Operator) and mobile means A will be on Outside Trunks.

You're screwed then, also user A has annoyed me already :-)

Same feeling Here for A .
but need to solve this .so what you think of AVAYA CM does this console set itself have like this feature.
i read about "call split" like stuff.

IN AVAYA 302D Console set i read about call split or split swap,
Split calls

You can disconnect temporarily from a call, make a call to another person, and then connect the two people together. You always must split a call in order to transfer an incoming call to a extension or to an outside number. Splitting allows you to do the following:

■ Either talk with the second person to announce the waiting call, or drop out of the call before the second person answers.

■ Connect the two calls together.

■ Join the calling and called parties in a 3-way connection from which you can later drop out.

■ Return to the split calling person if the called person does not answer or does not want to accept the call.

This feature is activated automatically after you answer an incoming call if you do any of the following:

■ Dial an extension number using the DXS Selector Console.

■ Press the START button, and then dial a number (for example, an extension number, a trunk access code, or the Automatic Route Selection feature access code).

■ Press a trunk group select button.

While the calling person is split from the console, the Split lamp is on. The split condition is canceled, and the Split lamp goes off when you perform one of the following:

■ Press the RELEASE button to connect the split person to the called person and disconnect the console.

■ Press the SPLIT button to establish a 3-way connection with you, the calling person, and the called person.

■ Press the CANCEL button to cancel the outgoing call attempt and reconnect to the calling person.

To activate and cancel the split condition, refer to ‘‘Transfer’’ on page 39.

Split Swap

Split Swap allows the attendant to alternate between active and split calls. This operation may be useful when the attendant may need to transfer a call, but first must talk with each party before completing the transfer. This operation is done using the SPLIT SWAP button.

! SECURITY ALERT:
The Split Swap operation can involve transferring calls per the callers requests. Refer to ‘‘Transfer’’ on page 39 for more information concerning security issues.

To use the Split Swap feature:

1. While active on a call, press the START button.

■ You hear a dial tone.

■ The Split lamp goes on.

2. Dial the number for the person to whom you may transfer the call.

■ You hear a ringback tone.

■ The display shows the number you are calling.
3. After the person answers, press the SPLIT SWAP button to alternate between the original call and the new call.

■ The Split Swap lamp goes on and stays on as long as you alternate between calls.

4. Use one of the following steps (a, b, c, or d) to complete the call. a. To set up a 3-way connection, press the SPLIT button.
■ You and the other two callers are connected.

■ The Split lamp goes on.

■ The display shows a conference call in progress.

■ The Split Swap lamp goes off and the button can no longer be used for this call.

To drop out of the 3-way connection, press the RELEASE button.

■ You are disconnected from the call.

■ The Split lamp goes off.

■ The call appearance lamp goes off.

■ The display goes blank.

■ The Position Available lamp goes on.

■ The console returns to the normal operating mode.

b. To transfer the call, press the SPLIT button (this joins all three parties together), then the RELEASE button.

■ You are disconnected from the call.

■ The Split lamp goes off.

■ The call appearance lamp goes off.

■ The display goes blank.

■ The Position Available lamp goes on.

■ The console returns to the normal operating mode.

Coaching Intrusion is the closet you get, in that way only B can hear A and both hear C.

But considering the lazy nature of A (or maybe A just hates to talk to people) it fails since A would still need to trigger the feature.

Coaching intrusion wouldn't allow A and B to speak while omitting C though :-)
