Avaya One X Mobile Android

When i first try to login into the Avaya One X Mobile application its asking for user name, password, server and port.

username: Brent (Last Name)
password: xxxx
server: this is the Avaya IP Office IP address i assume.
port: 7777

I'm testing this over the Wifi at our location and i can ping the Avaya IP Office from my phone so i know i have network connectivity to it.

The user has a power user license on there account


Avaya IP Office Network:
172.25.87.0/24

ok, Do i need anything for mobile one x to work? I'm just using the IP Office? Should i use the Avaya IPO Mobile IPO app instead of the Avaya Mobile One X Mobile?

I downloaded the Avaya Mobile one X IPO instead.

its asking for the credential below.

What do you have set as your IM\Presence server (XMPP domain name and port) in the OneX server? By default it uses port 5269.

is the server ID the IP address?

is the username the extension name or extension #?

password for the phone for the user?

The server ID is the IP address of the One X server or the FQDN set under XMPP presence if you plan to connect from outside the network. The username and password are set in Manager under the User tab.

Ok, so i need to have a One-x Portal server on my end for this to work? I have the voicemail server and The Avaya IPO 8.1. So

But of course....good luck!! You're going to need it. The One X server is not simple to install the first few times. It requires the server, FQDN, port forwarding rules, NAT policies, Split DNS, etc...

That's some good encouragement, I thought it was would just be a simple power user for the given extension and enabling the one-x portal services in the user itself. You have to do this even its local not out of network?

So for the one mobile x connect even if its on the same network you need to have a One-X server. The avaya IPO doesn't do that?

bbaits25, did you even think of reading the manual?
You are just trying and assuming what you need to do and it does not work that way.
Go to the knowledgebase and find the documentation and start reading it so you know what to do and what you need.
