Hi All -
I am working to get the correct set up in the 46xxsettings/specials files for the J179 phones and J139 phones to pull the correct SIP information so nothing needs to be statically assigned to the phones. I have review the R11 SIP install guide and several posts on the forum. It is my understanding that I need to first enable the 46xxspecials.txt file in the autogenerated settings, add this to the NoUser source numbers;
CODE -->
ENABLE_46XXSPECIALS_TXT
I did that and then created a new txt file named 46xxspecials.txt file with the following:
SET SIPPROXYSRVR 192.168.2.55 (LAN IP of 500v2)
SET SIPSIGNAL 1 (use TCP)
SET SIPPORT 5060 (use port 5060 for TCP)
I loaded this 46xxspecials to the primary folder in embedded file management.
I have scope option 242 set up in windows DHCP to provide the call server IP and HTTP file server IP (same 192.168.2.55) and that was already in place for the 96x1 phones used today.
I must be missing something because when the phone boots up (it did the upgrade to 2.0 firmware and then goes to 'starting..' but then pops up a window that says SIP proxy list is empty?
What am i missing? Also if we're setting this same thing for a virtual primary server I assume the steps are the same but is there anything to take into consideration for the setup for these phones to fail-over to a virtual secondary server ? Anything special for the certificates?
Any help would be appreciated!
