I am located in the Tampa, FL area and looking for tried and tested ITSP for SIP trunks... not a full 1.5m, just a few trunks. I have toyed with bandwidth.com and bandtel.com and I am having config issues. I have spent hours with Avaya TSO to no avail... also used the application notes by Avaya as well. Hopefully someone out there has a couple SIP trunks that work fine and can give me some insight.

I have a trunk with Global crossing, with a few DID's on it, works fine. Not a dedicated pipe to our office, just coming over our 768 internet pipe.

Works good, the config was pretty straight forward, and turnup time was limited....

Bandwith should work fine, so you have seen this doc?!

You could try voipbuster as a test that works fine and it's free. But they have no support.

You can also put some traces here so other tek-tippers could help you.

Greetzzz...Bas

Yes - I have followed the application note you linked - didn't work. So now I am trialing with Band-Tel. On your internet pipe, is it broadband or fractional T-1 internet?

Broadband, I use it at home.

Setting it is a bit of trial-and-error. I've successfully connected up to:
DIDWW
CallCentric
CallWithUs
Free World Dialup (FWD)

Perhaps you could elaborate a little more on the problem. Have you traced it? What kinds of errors are you getting, if any?

Use nexvortex.com. I've been using them for almost a year now with no issues. Plain old broadband connection -- not a T1. I've tried bandwidth, agn, and others and almost lost all faith in SIP.

The neat thing about nexvortex is they do not limit your trunks. Their monthly fee includes as many trunks as your system can support. If you have a 5 SIP License, then 5 SIP trunks.

If you are residential, look at callcentric.com.

i have bandwidth.com sip trunks working. (i do have problems routing the DID's but i have a work around for that also.)
