Hello, first of all, I'm new to this forum.

I'm having some issues with my avaya 3645 phones, I noticed as I walk away from the access point, the signal goes lower, and even if I keep getting close to another AP, it doesn't seem to disconnect from the other one and connect to the one that is closer.

would someone be able to help me

thank you

Welcome to the club..

and by that, I do not mean this forum, but the club op people how is having issues with the WIFI wireless handsets..

Now, how is the wireless system setup?

Do you use an AVPP?
What brand and type of acces points?
Voicevlans?

All setup according to the manual?

or, to save you time and money.. Any possibility to get rid of the WIFI handsets and use IP dect instead?

Your AP's must be configured for voice and must have roaming configured.
To be honest, Ditch them and go for a dect solution.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

thank you so much guys.

yes there is an AVPP
my AP and wap controller are Adtran, Im not crazy about it, but that is what we got.
I just took a look into the Netvanta 1534p and I noticed that nothing is configured when it comes to voice.
no voice vlans, ports or trunks.

Ill get to that and report back.

Spend a yesr snd sa hslf on s ongoing issue with AVAYA/Spectralink wifi phones.
Avaya has been on site severl times, Spectralink has been on site and the handover problem was never solved.
Now they have DECT R4 and are happy, Avaya payed the bill in the end.
