We had a little power cut over the weekend - enough to knock out my PC, but not enough to down the servers or the phone system - both on UPS's ..

The Dect unit isn't on a UPS - so I assume was knocked out by the outage ... now it won't connect up ...

It has a connection to the network (the switch lights up and shows broadcast activity - tried 3 different points and 2 different CAT5 cables now)
No sign of requesting IP address from the DHCP server (Win2k3 - checked the log file and refreshed other clients successfully)
No sign of requesting a boot file from the TFTP server (hardly surprising given it hasn't got an IP Address!)

All I've got is a red flashing LED - 15 long 5 short .... :(
What Now Skipper?!

It is the same everywhere.
There is a budget for nice trips to far destinations for the direction but an extra basestation for better coverage is not possible :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

how did you know? I've got one D out in the far east at the moment ... trying to save a bit on his mobile phone bill by putting AdoreSIP on his iPad with a login to our SIP provider ...
Apparently during his call back home his wife sounded like clanger (his words not mine!) - but a second call to my vm - he heard my vm ok and I could hear his msg - I'll try and be at my desk for the next test (obviously - if I had a second base station I could've had a dect phone and not missed the call!!)

Is your switch gigabit? I didn't see if you said r3 or r4, but I had the oddest problems with r4 antennas on gigabit ports. As soon as I hard coded the port to 100mb, the antenna worked flawless.

Has anyone else experienced problems with the r4 indoor on a gigabit port?

David, yes i did.
I blamed the switch :)
So it is related to gigabit?
What switch did you use?

It is not a gigabit switch by the way.
It does have the same problems so it must be the base station.
It happened when there where around 10 base stations connected.
