Hi !!!

I have a Avaya Apps virtual aplliance 10.0.0.3 running.

Last time I needed i worked wel, but now, when I try to connecto to the web manager (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:7070) I get 404 error.

Having a look at "services" , "webcontrol" is up.

Any idea ?

Thanks in advanced !

WebManagement is another service than WebControl. Log into 7071, expand the services view and check if WebManagement is running.

Looks like if there are files corrupt or missing. I would try to reinstall the WebManagement package.

... After you created a backup...

Not posible.

When trying to uninstall web management the sistem gives dependences error.
webmanagement is needed by aplicationserver.

If I uninstall applicationserver, webmanagement disapears form the list and no way for install again.

Installation from an OVA does not include the set of original RPM files for all the components (it would make the already 3.8GB install file even larger). So on a new install, if you unistall a component, that is it, its gone, can't be reinstall without finding the right rpm and transferring it to the machine.

Only after a OVA based install has been upgraded using an ISO is there a set of rpm files left behind (at whatever level the ISO was) for all the components.

I suspect you now need to reinstall or get it to upgrade from an ISO on a USB.

Well I did a fresh install.
A new vm from the .ISO.

Once installed and done que first configuration (services, IP, etc) I can acces via manager.
I can acces via 7071. The web manager is inactive. If click "start" nothing happens. Still inactive

When accesing 7070 , got 404 error.

Really i don't understand

do you?

I'm going to try with an OVA.

This have the advantage tha vmaretools are installed, but the root pass does not work

Virtual machines from the ISO are not supported. Too many issues as you're discovering. Has to be from image specific to the virtual platform.

Well.

Finally I have deployed a new machine form the ova. (from ISO is a bad bussiness)

Once the initial configuration is done, (same IP etc) I must to delete the security conf to default in both (IPO and appserver)
Then , again, set passwords to everywhere: Security in both, IPO, VMpro client F9.
Set to IP office type (not intuity).

The system status shows "voice mail pro" andall 4 channels active

The .mdb exported from the old appserver is imported in the new. The fluxe is shown in the client. It seems correct.

But.... when calling, the call is forwarded to the proper voice mail short code (as system status shows), the channel is occupied, but the call goes to "read voice mail" . It ask for the voice mail box number. Not the short code.

I must to investigate to understand the reason.

If anybody has an idea it will be appreciate !!

I think is better to close this theat and open a new simplified one.

Agree, if a call to user X goes to their mailbox when unanswered, and *17 goes to collect messages, then it's a working system at last. Start a new thread for a short code/callflow issue. Including the shortcode would be a great help in that thread.
