Avaya 8730 UDS1 BD error type 23

Hi-
New to forum- having issues with main number not answering from vector directed within 2 rings for general options message. Randomly takes between 8-15 rings before number answers.
Vendor repalced VAL board with bad port a month ago to fix issue but it has returned.

Alarm report shows following:

The first 3 items say your boards or trunks are failing.
The ISDN-TRK says individual channels within the group are failing (or misconfigured).
The ETH-PT should not be direct realated, though check that one out as well you may have a loose, or misconfigured ethernet connection somewhere.

Error Type 1 — Indicates that the circuit pack has stopped functioning or is not fully administered. The alarm is logged about 15 minutes after the circuit pack has been removed or 11 minutes after the SAKI test (#53) fails.
To be fully administered, a UDS1 circuit pack must meet all of the following
conditions:
1. Have an entry in the circuit plan using change circuit-pack
2. Be administered using add ds1 UUCSS
3. Be physically inserted into the correct slot
If the circuit pack has an entry in the circuit plan and either of the other
conditions are not met, a MINOR alarm is logged. To resolve the error:
Make sure that every condition for administration is met and that a functioning UDS1 circuit pack is inserted in the correct slot
or
Completely remove the UDS1-BD from the system:
a. Remove any administered DS1 trunks, access endpoints or
PRI endpoints associated with the circuit pack from their
trunk groups.
b. Execute remove ds1 UUCSS and change circuit-pack UUCSS.
If every administration condition is met for this circuit pack and the red LED is still on, follow the instructions for LED Alarms.

Try status trunk to verify the status of your boards and channels.
VAL has no direct relation to this issue though to an outsider the effect may be the same (hear nothing)

Thanks for the reply...I've reset the boards and even remeoved and reseated them. The configs seem to be correct as well. I supsect the vendor changed a setting and either isn't owning up or the repair tech doesn't know the trunk was changed somehow. I can accept 1, maybe 2 boards having a physical issue but not 3 at the same time- especially when nothing else seems wrong (as in a power surge). I'll try the removal process you describe. One last but probably key item- no red lights show on the DS1's....
