Hello All,
I have been searching for answers to this for a while now but have been unsuccessful with what i have found.
We are on Avaya IP Office Manager v 7.0. We recently purchased two 1403 phones from amazon in order to bypass the large costs from our VOIP vendor.
We also created two new lines within the IP Office manager and pointed them to the physical ports.
When we plugged the phone into the those lines we received the "Waiting FW UPgrade" message.
After a few searches and some uploading/downloading of files in the SD card we noticed that if we plugged in another, currently active, phone into that extension then plugged the 1403 model in the message would go away and it would display info/receive calls as if everything were running normal. However, when attempting to dial, the key presses do not cause the phone to dial at all...
Im thinking i may be missing a step in the uploading/downloading of the necessary files for the firmware upgrade but frankly I dont know much about how to do this and am only going off of the small amount of information that i was able to find online.
As I mentioned, I am not well versed in these type of systems but i pick things up fast and if you just pointed me in the right direction it would be of great benefit. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading.
