Hi,

I am looking some tapes are in freezing state. I want to unfreeze those tapes. I have used available_media on goodies shell. I am getting below message,

You are already running Available_Media
Try again later

but I am not running any where. Getting same message after rebooting master server. Can I do unfreeze from Veritas user interface without going to command prompt?

After completing normal backup master server suppose to disconnect connetcion with the client but it is not disconnecting still I am looking 3 days connection. When I reboot master server there was no connetion.

I am running Veritas 5.0 SP3 on Windows 2003

Can any one tell what is the cause for this?

Thanks for the reply. Already I tried that link. But I did not find any file name with AM.<current username>.lok in the whole system. No CMD.exe processes are running on the system.

I am assuming you are running XP or 2000? If you are in order to find the .lok file you must look in your C:\Documents and Settings\*USERNAME*\local settings\Temp\

directory in order to find the file. I was able to find it there. That should help you out.

I am running Win2000. I checked on that path I don't have \localsettings\Temp directory. I have some directories under C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\

Cookies,Desktop,Favorite, Mydocuments, Statr Menu..

I don't have any temp directory on these folders.

I did a search on whole system for *.lok but I did not find this file.

I found that file and deleted. Now I am able to run available_media. Temp folder was in Hidden in *current user id" that is why I am not able find .lok file before.

This resolved one problem. Any Idea about the other problem?

SQL Backup:

After completing normal backup master server suppose to disconnect connetcion with the client but it is not disconnecting still I am looking 3 days connection. When I reboot master server there was no connetion.

I am running Veritas 5.0 SP3 on Windows 2000

I got both problems fixed. Some processes(dbbackex.exe)was hanged in the SQL server. I killed those processes and restarted backup working fine.
Thanks for you help.

No. I don't have SQL admin previlages on this system. Now backups are running normally.
