AutoSave/Recovery in Word 2000

Hi, I am using word 2000 with the autosave every 5 minutes selected. The problem is that every 5 minutes I get the error.

"Cannot save while the file is in use by another process. Try saving the file with a new name.
C:\..\AutoRecovery Save of [Filename]"

has anyone come across this issue before? It is really annoying and I would love to know what other process is using my file and how to stop it!!

Try doing the PC cleanup first (

and see if problem persits.

Is the file password protected in some way?

No the file is not password protected at all. I will try the tool that you suggested.
