Hello,

error -2147319779 automation error library not registered

This occurs at filesystemobject

This is another one of my issues where it works fine under admin but not under user. I uninstalled my app and reinstalled it for another reason, then the error occurred. System restore isn't working. I installed the scripting runtime direct from Microsoft but that didn't help. I made sure the user has access to scrrun.dll but that didn't help. Any ideas? Why is so much locked down for user accounts. The only reason I set them up this way is to lock the system time.

Thanks

Tom

Also I created another admin account and I get the error there too. So its not an administrator issue but it only works on the one account.

Thanks

Tom

I ended up swapping the users. I made the working Admin now the User and the other the Admin. The new user account which was admin works fine, even with the lack of rights. It seems to be whichever it was installed under works regardless of the User/Admin rights. Its a work around but will do just fine because the admin account is rarely used, mostly just to lock/change the system time. Plus the error doesn't cause any nessecary issues, more of just an annoyance in a very few administrator features.
Regarding my simillar posts - I changed a lot of my dll installation paths to go to the Common Files directory but while that worked for previous issues, for some reason it just seemed to bring up more other dll's that never gave me a problem before. I guess I need to look into a new installation program or maybe set all users as admin, install then change rights later. I'll try a different route next new install; Its hard to test without a clean install. Whats really annoying that the errors I get don't tell me what dll is causing the issue therefor require a lot of time to figure out.

Still open to any suggestions.

Thanks,

Tom
