Hello everybody

The setup is as follows:

Cisco 827
ADSL connection (dynamic IP address)

What I am wanting is to somehow get the public IP address automatically either emailed or communicated somehow so that I know easily (and remotely) what the current address is.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated or if it is not possible

Thanks

Dyndns allows you to use a url address and directupdate will email you your current IP after it changes. I use both and I'm pretty pleased with them.

so there's no way of doing this without third party software?

So ideally what I am wanting of a script to do a
show ip interface brief
command and then copy / paste the results of that into an email and send them.

Just looks more professional IMO for a commercial sort of setup.
