I have a list in sharepoint that has a choice field with the optios, 'open' and 'closed'. I would like to have another field that would automatically, fill in the current date if a user selects 'closed' the choice field. Is this possible? If so, how can I do it?

Thanks,

This one of the options you have:
You create a calculated column, where you put the modified (date) in. As this will always hold the date when something has been altered in the element from your list (likely an incident) this will show the date when the option has been set to 'closed'.
It is a bit crappy that you can not calculate with dates and times more freely, but alas.
Let us know if it helped.

Thank you, this did exactly what I wanted.
