Is it possible to automatically (macros) crop an excel chart? The white space around the edges of the chart are giving me problems after I append it to a VPF general field and then try to use them in the report. With multiple graphs they end up (what appears to be) too far apart.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Have you tried expanding the Plot Area within the Chart Area?

Skip,

How do you do that? When I tried to drag the (pie) chart to spread it out it exploded.

Thanks.

1. select in the chart JUST INSIDE the outer perimiter. Notice that the NAME BOX contains Chart Area

2. select in the square (immaginary or not) surrounding the pie in any of the corners of the square. Notice that the NAME BOX contains Plot Area

You can drag any one of the corners of the Plot Area to increase or decrease the size if the Plot Area.

That worked. Thanks! Probably the easiest star you've earned!

Glad it worked. After all...

you wouldn't want your chart to be...

Skip, I actually believe that to be some of worst humor I've heard in a while. Deserves a star.
